On Wednesday, the House Oversight Committee released a new report which blasted former Attorney General Eric Holder and other top Obama aides for misleading congress and trying to cover-up Operation Fast and Furious, reports Fox News.
The newly surfaced report outlines the actions of Holder and officials in the Department of Justice to conceal evidence and information from the family a Border Patrol agent who was killed by a drug cartel crew using guns obtained in the failed operation.
The investigation of the murder revealed to the public Operation Fast and Furious, an operation that permitted criminals to purchase weapons from Arizona gun shops with the hopes of tracking those weapons back to Mexico. The ATF sold more than 2000 firearms, but eventually lost track of 1400. Two of the weapons found on the scene of Terry’s murder were obtained in the operation.
“More than five years after Brian’s murder, the Terry family still wonders about key details of Operation Fast and Furious,” says the report. “The Justice Department’s obstruction of Congress’s investigation contributed to the Terry family’s inability to find answers.”
Do you think these top Obama officials should be held accountable for their actions?
